Another year older

Itís been a year since I started doing this blog, so I thought it might be a good idea to go back over all 96 of them to tie up any loose ends.

You see it on TV and in the movies, but itís one of those things that doesnít happen to you. When it happened to me, it wasnít what I expected.

Playing favorites

We all have our favorite things in life, and the woodshop is no different. Herewith is a list of a few of my favorite shop things.

I have gremlins in my shop. Either that, or itís haunted. Or maybe a playful woodworking spirit. Or, quite possibly, thereís a logical explanation. I opt for spirits.

Shortcuts, part II

Last time I talked about some misgivings I had for taking what I considered to be a shortcut on a project. Well, three days later I can honestly say I made the right choice.

I took a shortcut yesterday in a project chapter for the book Iím doing. Rationally, the decision was a good one that introduced a whole new facet to the project. Irrationally, itís eating at me.

Gotta have it

I learned a lot in redoing my shop layout. One of the things I learned is that I buy a lot of stuff I donít need.

It’s done

Iíve completed the first stage of my shop redo, and I couldnít be happier. Almost.
